Antonio Conte has included new signings Emerson Palmieri, Ross Barkley and Olivier GIroud in Chelsea’s updated Champions League squad, as they gear up for a last-16 tie against Barcelona. The Italian welcomed several new faces to Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window, with Michy Batshuayi, Kenedy and Charly Musonda among those heading out the exit door. Although Roma are in the Champions League, Palmieri is eligible to play for Chelsea as the Brazilian was not registered for the Serie A giants’ side back in September.
Giroud can also take part, despite competing for Arsenal in the Europa League, while Barkley didn’t feature in Everton’s campaign due to injury. Youngsters Callum Hudson-Odoi and Dujon Sterling have also been included on the B list.
